- Abstract
The article reports about a 30-year-old south Indian man with several warty lesions on his face of 1 year's duration. The patient had several attempts at treatment in the pas with escharotics and electrocautery, but the lesions recurred. He also complained of nasal obstruction and occasional epistaxis. The patient had rhinosporidiosis. It is a chronic granulomatous disease affecting primarily the mucous membranes of the nose, nasopharynx and soft palate and characterized by vascular polyps. It is caused by Rhinosporidium seeberi.
