EGYPT: Justice Minister Resigns.
Abstract
The article reports on the political situation in Egypt as of April 2013. Justice Minister Ahmed Mekki resigned on April 21 allegedly as a result of rallies against him by Islamist supporters of President Mohammed Mursi. Mohamed Fuad Gadallah, adviser to Mursi, submitted his resignation. Abdel Meguid Mahmoud, prosecutor general reportedly removed by Mursi, was reinstated based on a ruling of an Egyptian court.
