- Abstract
This section offers update on several business research and publishing in the U.S. as of March 2006. During a meeting of the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Kent Gilbreath, professor of Economics and Stevens Chair of Private Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, presented his research paper "Time Series Data and Comparative Growth Rates for College Professors' Salaries by Rank and Academic Discipline." Kimberly Mencken, assistant director for Economic Education, has accepted an award on behalf of the Center for Private Enterprise at Baylor University for its re-affiliation status by the National Council on Economic Education (NCEE). The award was presented during the annual NCEE meeting in San Antonio, Texas. Professors David VanHoose and Herman W. Lay published the paper "Openness, the Sacrifice Ratio, and Inflation: Is There a Puzzle?" in the 2006 edition of the "Journal of International Money and Finance.
