- Abstract
The article comments on the prevalence and impact of voice problems in call center operators (CCOs) in India in 2012. It references a study which assessed vocal attrition symptoms, frequency and severity of symptoms in CCOs, and the impact of these symptoms on their emotion, social interaction, job performance and absenteeism. Risk factors of voice problems in CCOs are identified, including the lack of instructions on care of their voice.
