- Authors
Doody, Margaret
- Abstract
The author explores four elements, namely bees, women, goths and mirrors, that may guide the people on their way to the future. It examines the books written by Felicity Nussbaum, including "Autobiographical Subject" and "The Limits of the Human." Topics discussed include Nussbaum's views on the construction of women and their self-presentation, and the interest of English writers of the Restoration and early 18th century in descriptions of speedy alteration.
