- Abstract
The article reports that Battelle has licensed the Self-Assembled Monolayers on Mesoporous Supports, developed at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, Washington, to Steward Environmental Solutions. The mesoporous material is designed to capture and remove mercury and other toxic substances from industrial waste streams. The material can be tailored to selectively remove metal contaminants without creating hazardous waste or by-products.
