- Abstract
Through the gaze of the two young protagonists of Pasos en la piedra, a novel by José Manuel de la Huer- ga, the author concocts a story in which the deep knowledge he has as competence of the cultural fact is clearly and directly appreciated, social and religious of Holy Week. Part of his first childhood memories, but he is aware of the depth with which the men of his imaginary city, which embodies many real cities, have lived the time in which the dramatic is dramatized. Holy Week and its tradition is not a mere novelesque scenario because its celebration is a deep rooted event. Far from offering a homogenous experience, they seek it based on compliance or transgression with respect to the important historical changes in the Spain of 1977.
