- Title
The emerging role of MIR-146A in the control of hematopoiesis, immune function and cancer.
- Abstract
The article discusses various studies conducted to know the role of MicroRNA-146A (miR-146A) in controlling hematopoiesis, immune function and cancer. It has been stated that the MiR-146a was initially discovered during a systematic study conducted to identify miRNAs that play an important role in the innate immune response to microbial infection. It has been informed that study of human lung alveolar epithelial cells helped in identification of additional miR-146a and gradual studies found evidence that miR-146a also act as a modulator of the innate immune response.
