- Abstract
Multi-nutritional deficiencies in Australian children exist, and risk groups include children with autism, extreme picky eating behaviours, chronic illnesses such as cystic fibrosis, mental health issues such as anxiety, addictive gaming behaviour and pathological internet use. He was prescribed a vitamin A ointment (VitA-POS®; Scope Ophthalmics Ltd, West Sussex, UK B ) b for both eyes at night and hourly ocular lubricants in both eyes by day. Vitamin D: The exact role of vitamin D in ocular health is unclear but has been associated with a role in macular degeneration and reducing ocular inflammation and dry eyes. Answer: d. Night blindness can be caused by vitamin A deficiency but may also be due to retinal disease such as retinitis pigmentosa, optic nerve disease such as glaucoma or significant refractive errors.
