- Abstract
The article discusses a coalition between the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and the Harvard Medical School Center for Health and the Global Environment. Scientists, including E. O. Wilson, James Hansen and Peter Raven, are working together with Evangelicals to educate law makers and the public about global environmental threats. Richard Cizik, vice president for governmental affairs of the NAE and Eric Chivian, director of the Harvard center sponsored a retreat in November 2006. According to Cizik, the NAE represents thousands of U.S. churches and over 30 million members who will be encouraged to work on environmental issues like climate change and pollution.
