Context, relevant parts and (lack of) disagreement over taste.
- Authors
Lasersohn, Peter
- Abstract
The article presents the author's insights on the semantic analysis of expressions of personal taste of the book of Herman Cappelen and John Hawthrone. He says that the relativist semantic theory of the authors cannot be considered to be accounted for "faultless disagreement" phenomenon. He explores the expressions 'Roller coasters are fun' or 'Licorice is tasty' used by the authors on their book adding that the expressions express different contents relative to different groups or individuals.
