- Abstract
The article offers information on the long-life architecture and bridges in the Japan. It is stated that materials of constructions and bridges include stone, wood, iron, and concrete and there are three mechanical properties of load-bearing systems of bridges which includes axial force resistance, bending force resistance and shear force resistance. It further discusses various bridges of Japan including Ryuzu-bashi Bridge, Torii-bashi Bridge, and Megane-bashi Bridge.
