- Abstract
The article discusses the significant contributions of the Civilian Pilot Training Program (CPTP) of Cameron University to World War II efforts. Topics discussed include how the program was formed by Robert H. Hinckley and how Cameron became one of the first institutions to be included in the CPTP. Also discussed is how CPTP achieved impressive results as shown by its graduates including the Tuskegee Airmen of the 99th Fighter Squadron, astronaut John Glenn and fighter pilot Richard Ira Bong.
