- Title
Blitz therapy and Streptococcus agalactiae.
- Authors
Edmondson, Peter
- Abstract
The author discusses the serious consequences of blitz therapy which is used for intramammary therapy to eliminate Streptococcus agalactiae infection to the entire herd or selected animals. It states that there were 17 cases of clinical mastitis with the presence of yeast infection that have been found in the cell count of a 200-cow pedigree Friesian herd. It suggests in executing blitz therapy, mastitis management needs to be reviewed first.
