- Abstract
The article discusses Spanish literary models of the eighteenth century, including the pseudoerudito and the erudito a la violeta. The author's objective in this article is to demonstrate the role of satirical literature as a threat to the Republic of Letters, as well as the relationship between the petimetre and the pseudoerudito with the erudito a la violeta. The author describes the "imitatio" literary style and utilizes it to analyze the characteristics of the various archetypes presented in the article.
