Abstract
The article offers developments related to nephrology. It was found out that when amyloid protein was largely composed of a previously unknown peptide, called amylin or islet amyloid peptide. Increased rates of tubular-cell proliferation in the cysts of polycystic kidneys are the major changes in the epithelial cells. Several studies that attempted to find the disease frequency of acute renal failure, found that it is confounded by the variable thresholds for admission in different locales.
