- Abstract
The article focuses on the Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) project, which was developed by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) to create a public resource for human genetic variation and gene expression across tissues. A resource database and associated tissue bank will be created from donors of either sex from any ancestry group and those who died within 24 hour. A Laboratory, Data Analysis and Coordinating Center (LDACC) will preserve the specimens extracted from donors.
