- Abstract
The author comments on a study which evaluates the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) implementation within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) system and its effects on primary care utilization. Topics discussed include the increase in primary care provider visits among patients with comorbidity, the possible use of virtual visits to be more effective in addressing the needs of patients with greater comorbidities, and a brief overview of the introduction of PCMH in pediatrics in 1967.
