- Abstract
The article discusses the work of Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE), a not-for-profit organization in Canada that has been promoting clean energy projects and Indigenous sovereignty since 2016. Indigenous communities in Canada are the largest asset holders of clean energy projects, and ICE has been providing capacity-building programs and support to these communities. ICE has also expanded its work to Australia and Colombia, sharing knowledge and advocating for a just energy transition that includes Indigenous communities. The article highlights the importance of empowering Indigenous Peoples in the global transition to clean energy.
