- Abstract
The article offers information on a cultural mapping project made at the Lake Gregory area in the south-east Kimberley. The purpose of the project was to bring together scientific and Aboriginal knowledge of the area, to record traditional stories and oral histories, to make photographic and video documentation of campsites, archaeological and geological sites, bush food and bush medicine, and to record place and family names. A storybook produced for the Aboriginal participants, to illustrate the gap between written and oral/ visual ways of presenting information is included.
