Abstract
The article examines the quality of work life of family physicians in the private and public practice. The researchers found out that independent family physicians were more satisfied, fulfilled and happier compared to those who were employed. Independent practitioners felt that they had greater ability to achieve professional goals and had less plan of leaving their private practice.
