- Authors
Snider, Jacqueline
- Abstract
The author presents insights from the book review editor and author liaison of the journal "Education Libraries," the peer-reviewed journal of Special Libraries Association's (SLA's) Education Division in the U.S. She reports that water infiltrated the Midwest in summer 2008, wherein an unusually snowy, icy winter and a rainy spring produced flooding in Cedar Falls and Waterloo, reached Iowa City and damaged books and resources at the library of the University of Iowa in June. She also cites the first flood comment she encountered titled "Making the Switch from Print to Online: Why, When and How?" To explore information literacy, she also relates her experiences in a session she attended titled "Is there a Right to Information Literacy? Academic Responsibility in the Information Age."
