- Authors
Cuttler, Jerry
- Abstract
The article offers the author's view on the inception of the linear-no-threshold (LNT) model for the risk assessment of cancer and the errors of the U.S. National Academy of Science in adopting its concept. He mentions the association of low radiation to cancer risk and its basis on producing genetic damage leading to the progression of the malignant neoplastic disease's cells. He also notes how radiation ionization generate health effects.
