Abstract
Chapter 6 of the book "Illustrations of Political Economy" is presented. It offers a short tale which reflects the conflict in the different aspects of law such as the implementation of the Relief Bill in Ireland. It highlights the consolidation of the small farms securing the prosperity of land tenantry. It explores the complexities of absenteeism including the application of capital, revenue and the immaterial point of wealth to the country.
