- Abstract
The article presents information on legal developments in marketing relative to the regulation of channels of distribution. The author notes the case of United States v. Sealy Inc., in which stockholder licences were deemed to have allocated sales territories as part of a resale price fixing arrangement. Also noted is the case of Luria Brothers and Co. Inc. v. United States Federal Trade Commission, in which the commission charged that by restraining trade, Luria Brothers intended to create a monopoly in the scrap metal market.
