- Authors
DANIELS, RONALD J.
- Abstract
The article discusses the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which has faced a threatened 22% reduction in its funding and steps were taken to shore up the overall NIH funding. It states that the NIH supports the extramural research by capping grant funding for indirect costs called facilities and administrative costs. It also states that longtime supporters of biomedical research in the House and Senate have acted quickly to try to block the proposed cap.
