- Abstract
Introduction: Taking into consideration the importance of the recognition and visibility of women through non-sexist language, reflections related to the right to generate equitable environments are shared within educational spaces as a challenge to be taken on by teachers. Methodology: In order to show how the linguistic resources that teachers can use in their daily work in the classroom through the written and verbal word can help to combat gender violence associated with women's right to difference and equality, a methodology based on bibliographic and documentary research was used as a basis for the application of quantitative data collection instruments applied to 91 students and 8 tutors of community practices at the University of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Results and discussion: It was evidenced that within the exercise of community internships, the perceptions of those involved are oriented to overcome the paradigm of invisibilization of women within the academic environment, which favors the struggle to generate more equitable educational environments. Conclusions: It is recognized that teachers have in their classrooms the opportunity to build spaces free of gender violence using the powerful tool of the oral and written word.
