- Abstract
The article explores on the influence of the changing economic conditions to the voting behavior of the people at various geographic levels in the U.S. It examines the effect of the economic indicators to the sociotropic evaluations and election outcomes including unemployment rate, retail gas prices and personal income. It stresses the history of political science in the country. It also cites the concept of egotropic motivations for the voting behavior of an individual with personal finances or employment status.
