- Abstract
This article discusses a case of nodular lichen myxedematosus (LM), a rare skin disease with unknown causes. The patient, a 48-year-old Afro-Caribbean woman, presented with multiple asymptomatic nodules on her trunk and limbs. Various tests were conducted, including a skin biopsy, which confirmed the diagnosis of nodular LM. Treatment options for localized LM are not well-established, and in this case, the patient chose not to undergo any treatment. Nodular LM is generally self-limiting and benign.
