- Abstract
The article focuses on the applicability and scope of the federal reserved water rights to national parks and other federal public lands in the eastern U.S. It discusses several water regulation management regimes applicable in various states including prior appropriation, riparian, and regulated riparian. It informs that these regimes are incapable in protecting the National Park in South Carolina and recommends federal-state negotiated settlements as most cooperative and efficient solution.
