The article reports on the issues of religious liberty with respect to same-sex marriage focusing on the U.S. Supreme Court case Obergefell v. Hodges. Topics discussed include decision of court in Obergefell case that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples by both the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution; Employment Division v. Smith court case related to unemployment benefits and state action Doctrine.
