- Abstract
The article focuses on the emerging issues related to an effective cancer prevention strategy. It presents a broadened perspective on the importance of behavior change in cancer control. It also discusses an understanding of rapidly developing technological advances involving the early detection or risk of disease. The issues discussed in the article are interrelated and require co-ordination and interdependence among the problem-solvers. The article also considers the importance of the social context of risk in any attempt to influence the public's perception of risk.
