- Abstract
We performed anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in 771 cases from April, 2002 to March, 2007. Among three subjects 28 cases (3.6%) had re-injury to reconstructed ACL. We divided 14 re-injured women into the A group (before one year after the surgery, an average of 5.9 months, n=5) and the B group (after one year, average 24.5 months, n=9). We examined inclination by age and last isokinetic muscle strength after the initial reconstruction surgery and last ability after the first time reconstruction for sports, and periods from the first time reconstruction to sports return and the tibia plateau angle. The age of the A group was younger than that of the B group. And the period to return to sports was earlier. As for the recovery of open kinetic chain, the A group tended to be earlier than in the B group. However, there was no significant difference in the closed kinetic chain between these groups. The tibia plateau angle tended to be larger in the A group than the B group.
