- Abstract
The article presents a study which discusses energy guide labels as teaching aids for students. The goal of the study is to have students develop an awareness of life cycle cost analysis, payback period, and energy-efficient technologies. Here, the researcher used two labels as classroom demonstration items, as a topic for required-response question on the Web and as a topic for a student project. The first label is from a natural gas water heater, and the other label from a small electric refrigerator.
