The article examines the portrayal of Oriental women in 17th century Indian travel literature, highlighting feminism. It describes the characteristics of Oriental women who reportedly lack rationality, sensual, and will do everything requested from them. It concludes that the depiction of women in literature is biased and portrayed as subjects to control by men.
