- Abstract
The article provides information on a study which investigated the correlation between the extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 (ERK1)/2 signaling pathway and X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP)-associated factor I (XAD1) in colon cancer. The study found that inhibition of ERK1/2-induced XAF1 expression might be correlated with a different status of P53 in human colon cancer cells. Materials and methods used are discussed, which include information on cell culture and transient transfection and dual luciferase reporter assay.
