- Abstract
The article presents a summary of a Cochrane systematic review containing the meta-analysis of 18 clinical trials which evaluated the impact of various community-based interventional care packages delivered to pre- and postnatal women to improve maternal morbidity and reduce neonatal deaths. An overview of the review is provided including its relevance and implications for public health nursing, and characteristics of the evidence. Also highlighted are its major findings and other outcomes.
