- Authors
Dernie, David
- Abstract
The article looks at natural and artificial stone masonry in contemporary architecture. Among the innovation in stone masonry are the development of rain-screen fixing details and prefabrication of composite stone-faced panels. It says that the inclusion of large stone units in contemporary buildings promotes simple architectural form. Bonded or wrought masonry is a well-established method of working with large stone modules.
