The article offers information on a medical research related to the increase in the morality rate of the patients undergone with the treatment of typhoid intestinal perforation in Nigeria. As stated, the research shows that a particular class of patients classified by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) who had laparotomy after adequate resuscitation were found to be at a higher risk of death and they required post-operative intensive care.
