- Abstract
The article discusses a case study which investigated the death of a 6-year-old Nubian goat diagnosed with lymphadenitis of the lymph node. The presence of Actinomyces (A.) hyovaginalis was identified from lesions during the postmortem examination of the goat. In relation to this, the goat showed absence of antibodies for caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE) and caseous lymphadenitis. The study concludes that lymphadenitis-type lesions may be caused by A. hyovaginalis upon the exclusion of Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis.
