- Abstract
As the journalism industry tries to figure out a viable business model, journalists are placed in a position where their job security might depend on how much revenue the newspaper company earns. Through interviews o f seven reporters and editors from a regional daily newspaper, this qualitative study shows that journalists think about revenue, interact with the advertising side o f the business, and consciously try to generate revenue—all while maintaining journalistic integrity.
