- Title
Ronald Firbank, Forgotten Apostate.
- Authors
Adams, Don
- Abstract
This essay presents novelist Ronald Firbank. It states that Firbank has been recognized as a humurous commentator on social mores, wherein his novels were greatly influenced by the works of writer Oscar Wilde. It says that Firbank's novels deal with issues on sexual desire and identity rather than of ethical right and wrong. It relates that Firbanks' fiction has conjoined the two preoccupations of pastoral fiction such as love and death and emphasizes the relativity of social standards.
