- Authors
EVANS, CECELIA; SOWERS, JR., TED
- Abstract
The article presents information on ceramic materials retrieved from 15 sites in the Jemez and Upper Rio Puerco valleys in north central New Mexico. 12 sites are have been located along the Jemez River and three have been identified along the Rio Puerco River. Numerous pottery sherds were obtained from these sites and analyzed for the report. Findings indicate that the pottery extends from the Pueblo I culture to the Pueblo V culture. This finding shows that the region was populated, in some form, for the entire duration of the Pueblo era.
