- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the editorial journey and literary impact of the book "La Plaisante et amoureuse histoire du Chevalier Doré et de la pucelle surnommée Coeur d'Acier," originally an excerpt from medieval work "Perceforest," with particular focus given to the 1541 and 1542 re-editions by Denis Janot and Denis de Harsy. Topics mentioned include the history of medieval French literature, the cultural impact and heritage of the medieval novel, and the expansion during medieval and post-medieval times of literature as a pedagogic tool, with attention given to what the author refers to as the reception of the medieval novel by the French literary culture, at the beginning of the sixteenth century.
