The article discusses the lesson learned relative to experiments and modelling methodologies about heat and mass transfer, conducted at the University of Pisa in Pisa, Italy. It outlines the analysis of available techniques and theories used for the evaluation of evaporation and condensation rates in Light Water Reactors (LWR). Furthermore, it highlights the relevant conclusions obtained from the model development and assessment steps.
