- Abstract
The article presents the authors' reply to Dr. J.P. Rey-Lopez's interest in their study on whether jogging can be harmful to health. It notes that the 1,078 joggers studied had significantly lower mortality than nonjoggers with an age-adjusted hazard ratio of death of 0.56 for male and female joggers. It indicates that while several potential confounders and mediators were adjusted, they were not able to adjust for diet since questions of diet were included in the 4th examination in 2001-2003.
