- Abstract
In order to come to evidence-based clinical decisions speech language therapists need to draw on specific knowledge, skills and professional attitudes. The TÜBEP-ST 1.0 introduced here is an assessment tool focussing on the evaluation of basic competencies in evidence-based decision making for german speech language therapy students. The test allows to determine students' level of proficiancy concerning fundamental concepts, definitions and practical skills in evidence-based practice. The TÜBEP-ST is derived from the „FRESNO-Test of Competence in Evidence-Based Practice″, a well-established, validated measurement for the basic steps of evidence-based medicine.
