- Title
Metastatic collecting duct carcinoma of the kidney treated with sunitinib.
- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 47 years old woman with 14.1 centimeters (cm) left renal mass which extended into the renal vein and metastases that involved lungs and retroperitoneal lymph nodes. It states that lymphadenectomy with radical left nephrectomy revealed collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) of the kidney. It mentions that she was given sunitinib rather than systemic chemotherapy due to her poor performance status which led to appetite loss and hypothyroidism.
