- Abstract
This article discusses a rare subtype of colloid milium called acral keratosis with eosinophilic dermal deposits (AKEDD). The article presents a case study of a 42-year-old male patient with multiple, asymptomatic, hyperkeratotic papules on the dorsum of the hands. Dermoscopy and histopathological examination were used to diagnose AKEDD. The article also provides information on the differential diagnoses for acral keratosis and describes the characteristics of colloid milium and AKEDD. The rarity of AKEDD suggests that it may be a distinct clinical entity, but further research is needed to understand its pathogenesis and treatment options.
