- Abstract
The article presents the program of the meeting of the Council for Elementary Science International (CESI), in collaboration with the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development at Sheraton-Gibson Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 28 to March 1, 1959. Presiding the event was Willard J. Jacobson of the Teachers College of the Columbia University in New York and President of CESI. Topics being discussed were the following: 1) science in local communities; 2) experiments and demonstrations in elementary school science; 3) projects in elementary school science; and, 4) problems in developing elementary science.
